Bangladesh without Shakib

Bangladesh went to play the tri-nation series this June in Zimbabwe with Zimbabwe and South Africa without Shakib. This was a disaster series for Bangladesh. Bangladesh national team saw a couple of new faces. The team went through some experiment. That's why I will say that this was not Shakib's fault. By the way, just for those who don't know this was Shakibs decision not to play the tournament. There were two reasons shown by Shakib. The first one was that he did not had enough rest from the game & the second reason was this serious was not recognized by ICC. It means these ware not official matches. This was true that he was on the field for more then two years without any rest.

All the three teams had same points on the table. But Bangladesh could not play the final because there run rate was less then others.

We hope that Shakib will return strongly and do well for Bangladesh.

Shakib in the IPL

Shakib's IPL, 2012

Shakib made his IPL debut in 2011 playing for Kolkata Knight Riders against Rajasthan Royals taking two wickets of Amit Paunikar and Shane Watson. Earlier in the auction he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for US$ 425,000.

Though he did not get enough opportunity in season 4, he played 8 games in this season taking 12 wickets and scoring 91 runs. This includes two of his match winning performance which earned him the title of "Man of The Match" for these two matches. He also made an important contribution in the all important final against the strong Chennai Super Kings. He and Manoj Tiwary played the winning knock where Shakib scored 11 of just 7.

Shakib is satisfied with this tour of IPL or not, I don't know. I am surely not satisfied. He should have been given chance to play more games. According to me he was the most important man in the KKR squad.

In the end Shakib must be a proud man to be the champions of this season. My good wishes are always with Shakib. You can wish him too by commenting below.

Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib, a very common name today in Bangladesh. He is not only limited in Bangladesh but where there is cricket today, Shakib's name is known there. Why won't he not be known? He is the number one All-Rounder in the ICC's Test and ODI ranking. He is carrying this top position for quite a long period now.

He was born in March 24th, 1987 at Magura District. From an early age he was showing his talent. The local teams from different villages use to hire him for his consistent performance. Al Hasan was representing the U19 team when he was just 15. His strong performance brought him to the national team in 2006 to tour Zimbabwe.

By the passage of time Shakib got more hold of the game and performed well each time better then the previous one. His batting is as good as how he bowls and the fielding ability is more than his batting or bowling.  Shakib is truly an All-Rounder. In today's world I don't think that there is a better cricketer than him and Shakib has proven that by making a strong and long term position in the All-Rounder's ranking.

Shakib is undoubtedly Bangladesh's most valuable cricketer. He will surely be the most important player in any team that he will play for and he has proved that in recent time. He was the Man of the tournament in The recently ended BPL and Asia cup as well. He also made many important contribution for his team in this years IPL and chosen man of the match twice playing only eight games. He also did well in the English County for Worcestershire.

All the good wishes for Shakib Al Hasan in the future. I hope Shakib will lead Bangladesh National Team to win the World Cup for us. Please wish for Shakib and Bangladesh Team below by commenting.
